NewCorr Packaging

 In 1991, R & R co-founded NewCorr--New England's premier corrugated sheet plant. NewCorr has the ability of supplying sheets to its owners with one day turnaround. Located in Northborough, Massachusetts, NewCorr has a 165,000 square foot facility. It has two Corrugators which can make all types and combinations of board.  Through our investment in NewCorr Packaging in Northborough, Massachusetts, R & R is able to provide all your corrugated packaging needs to you in a very short turnaround time. NewCorr is capable of providing next day service on our sheet orders so that R & R can convert them in our manufacturing plant in Bristol with a minimum lead-time.

NewCorr’s capabilities offer a range of high-performance corrugated sheets to meet your needs. Our paper is a combination of the best liners and highest quality mediums available. We offer a wide array of standard and specialty board grades and flutes to give you as many options as possible to optimize your operations.

Characteristics

• Linerboard basis weights ranging from 26-lb/1,000 ft to 90-lb/1,000 ft.
• Lightweight performance options & high compression performance options
• Medium basis weights ranging from 23-lb/1,000 sq ft to 40-lb/1,000 sq ft.
• Customizable performance grades available

Corrugator 1

Flutes – B, C, E, BC double wall & BE double wall (Preprint available upon request)

• We currently run E and BE double-wall twice a week
• Minimum length   – 21”  Minimum width – 8”
• Maximum length  – 179”     Maximum width – 86”
• Scoring profiles point to point, point to point offset, 3 point, Flat, and Twin tele

Corrugator 2

Flutes – C flute  (Currently)

• Minimum length – 21”      Minimum width – 8 “
• Maximum - 215”
• Maximum width – 97 “
• Scoring profiles point to point and point to point offset

Due to our design, we have two slitters on Corrugator 2. This allows for total redundancy in the event of a breakdown. Double loads provide the option of using both slitters simultaneously to provide close proximity score application within a single process. The minimum tolerances between scores can vary depending on the job. Scores 1” apart are not uncommon in our order mix. Please call with specific dimensions if you have a special order requiring this option.

 Open-Sesame Tapes:

Open-Sesame tape is used to create retail ready packaging solutions. You can create a premium clean tear solution by using the Open-Sesame two tape System. It utilizes an Open-Sesame tape which is applied on the top of inside liner of the box in conjunction with a Sesame Tape inside the board. The scissors tearing action of the tapes creates the optimum clean tear solution. Using Open-Sesame as a one tape solution can also provide a good tear, especially in lighter weight boards.

 Reinforcement Tapes:

Reinforcement tape is available for wet and dry end application, and is used for containment and reinforcement of bins, boxes and trays. It is used to reinforce critical stress areas of boxes such as handles and handholes and is used in conjunction with Open-Sesame tape as the guide tape to create the clean tear.

Water Resistant Adhesive:

We offer water-resistant adhesive upon request.

 Colored and Coated Liner:

We are able to run various colors and coated liners for specialty jobs.
